Blog

Welcome to the blog

The team 1 min read

This blog is a directory of markdown files. There is no database table, no admin resource and no migration behind it — a post is a file in storage/app/blog, and it is live the moment it lands there.

Front matter

Each file opens with a short block of metadata:

---
title: Why we moved to weekly releases
description: A short summary used in the list and the meta tags.
date: 2026-02-14
author: Jane Doe
---

Everything after the closing --- is the body, in markdown.

Scheduling

A post dated in the future is treated as scheduled rather than published, so you can write ahead and let the date do the work.

Why files

A blog is the one surface of a storefront that can earn search traffic, and the cost of starting one should be writing a file — not installing a CMS. Files also survive an extension update and can be written by a deploy without touching anything tracked.
